current location: Pondicherry, India

I moved to Pondicherry just before New Year, to spend a couple of months living and writing here. Officially the town is now called Puducherry and usually it’s “Pondy”.


Australian Studies conference Sri Lanka Dec 2- 5

I will be a guest at this conference in Sri Lanka for the Association for the Study of Australasia in Asia (ASAA) from December 2 – 5. I’ll be giving a reading there as well as attending other papers and readings.

Film Bazaar, Goa, India

I will be attending the Goa Film Bazaar from November 26-29.

I will be pitching my films Neem Dreams and With The Tiger.

Will be catching up with Binger people and Indian film people.

goodbye Rome hello Nimes

I left Rome and the BR Whiting Library on July 31 after 6 wonderful months based there. Now i am spending a few weeks in Nimes in the south of France staying with an old friend, Sue Howe and her partner Daniel de Rudder. After this it will be Chateau de Lavigny…

Ljubljana, April 9

On Tuesday April 9 I took a seminar for students in the course on Australian Literature, at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts, Dept. of English , (3rd year undergraduates) . The course is taught by Professor Igor Maver.
